This is the report of the medical exam by the doctor paid for by the workers compensation insurance company. Keep in mind, Dr. Stirrat was aware of the trip to China and did not comment on it.  Dr. Stirrat did not dispute the three weeks away from work as recommended by Dr. Gordin's 8/9/96 note.

CAUSAL RELATIONSHIP: Based on the information, mainly from the patient, it appears that his upper extremity complaints have been brought on in part by keyboard activities. In regard to the percent related to work versus home activities I think one would need to have an accurate number of how much time he spends on the computer and then simply prorate the percent work versus home. For example if he spends 8 hours a day at work and 4 hours at home, then I would accept his work component to be 66% of his complaint.
